Given:

Part of chocolate Manmeet ate \[ = \frac{1}{2}\] and he gave \[\frac{1}{4}\]of remaining to Chinu.

To find: the part of the chocolate Chinu got.

Solution:

Know that Manmeet ate half of the chocolate.

Find the remaining chocolate.

\[\begin{array}{l} = 1 - \frac{1}{2}\\ = \frac{{2 - 1}}{2}\\ = \frac{1}{2}\end{array}\]

Understand that, according the question Manmeet gave \[\frac{1}{4}\]th of the remaining  \[\frac{1}{2}\]chocolates to Chinu.

\[\left( {\frac{1}{4}of\frac{1}{2}} \right) = \frac{1}{4} \times \frac{1}{2} = \frac{1}{8}\]

Hence, Chinu got \[\frac{1}{8}\]part of the chocolate.
