As the pollen tube penetrates theovule, it releases two sperm cells. ... As in gymnosperms, the ovule becomes a seed, encasing the embryo and endosperm in a seed coat. But unlike gymnosperms, in angiosperms the ovary containing the ovulesdevelops into a fruit after fertilization.

Dear Student,

◆ Answer -

After fertilization, an ovule becomes a seed.

● Explanation -

  • Fusion of male gamete (pollen grain) with female gamete (ovule) to form fertilized egg inside the ovary is called fertilization.
  • Ovule develops to form a seed while ovary becomes the fruit.
  • Endosperm provides nutrition to the seed.

Thanks dear for asking. Hope this is useful to you.
