After ‘fertilization’, ovary develops into fruits and ovules develop into seeds.

Explanation:

  • Fertilization is the fusion of the ‘male and female gametes’. In case of plants the ovaries and the ovules are present in the stigma of the flowers.
  • After fertilization due to the pollen grain coming in ‘contact with the female egg’, there is a change in the morphology of the flower.
  • The ovary is changed to form the fruits. Inside the ‘fruit lies the seed’ which were previously the ovules.
  • This seed later on ‘fall into the soil’ and they get germinated to form a new plant.
