AFter Gupta dynasty so called 'Later gupta dynasty' was the one to reign. Historians confirmed that there is no link between these two dynasty.

In case of punjab in 590 AD it was under the control of Pushyabhuti dynasty and later on, in 625 AD Harsha Vardhana ruled over punjab.

When there was a decline of the Gupta dynasty it actually led to political fragmentation in the Asian subcontinent of india.

The subjugated powers along with the feudatories declared independence and paved the way for the smaller kingdoms.

This actually led to the competition and rivalry in order for gaining political supremacy.
