After her morning jog Reena left her new sneakers outside the gate as they were

muddy and forgot about them. The same afternoon they left for Chennai on a

vacation and returned after four days. Her mother found that her sneaker was

wet due to rain and had also developed black spots all over. They tried washing

them, but it was not fully gone. Why did the sneakers develop those spots? What

would those black spots be made of? Is there a possibility of them growing on

plants and animals? Give examples
