After independence in 1950, boundaries of several old states changed in to create new states based on language. what is your Opinion on this?

After independence the boundaries of different states were changed to ensure that people who spoke same language lived in same state. This actually proved beneficial in uniting people. Additionally, this is a step towards saving different cultures and languages of India by the allocation of different states to them.
