Answer:

The question has to include 5% of salt in a solution. The protoplasm's water content increase, cell wall becomes turgid.

Explanation:

The solution will have 95% water and will be dilute. Such an osmotic solution is called Hypotonic Solution.

We also have to know the defination of osmosis, it is the movement of water molecules from higher concentration to a lower concentration through a semi permeable membrane.

Let's apply this in our case,

The plant cell membrane is semi permeable (cell wall is freely permeable, but it doesn't allow the cell to burst despite a lot of pressure , water pressure known as turgidity of the cell wall). The solution is dilute having more water concentration than inside the cell.

Following the osmotic principle, water moves into the cell ( movement of water molecules is from both sides but most of it moves into the cell due to the gradient) till equilibrium ( concentration of water is same or there is simply no gradient)

The protoplasm becomes dilute resulting in the swelling of the plant cell, unlike an animal cell which may burst due to so much pressure the plant cell has turgidity and hence the inside contents are pushed against the cell wall of the plant cell.
