•they are acidic in nature.

•they are formed when strong acids react with weak bases.

•They give H3O^+ ions (Hydronium ions) when water is added to an acidic salt.

Basic Salts:-

•they are alkaline(basic) in nature.

•Formed when weak acids react with strong base.

•They give OH^- ions (Hydroxide ions) when water is added to a basic salt

Eg:-CaCO3, NaCH3COO(Sodium acetate).

Neutral salts:-

•They r neutral in nature.

•Formed when equally strong or weak acids and bases react

•Donot forms ions. Electrolysis is the only process.

Eg:-Table salt(NaCl),KCl,K2SO4
