"After purification, concentration of oxygen increases in the blood alveoli which is passed to the blood in the capillaries and carbon dioxide is seen in the air in alveoli.

Alveoli are present in lungs to facilitate exchange of gasses. Present in the alveoli are the smallest blood vessels i.e. the capillaries which assist in the exchange of gasses.
