Solution:-

Let "x" be the Number of pages in the Book.

Given:-

• 5/8 part of Book is read = 5x/8

=) No. of pages left to read = x - 5x/8

=) No. of pages left to read = ( 8x - 5x)/8

=) No. of pages left to read = 3x/8

A.T.Q.

=) 3x/8= 168

=) 3x = (168 x 8)

=) x = 8 × 168/3

=) x = 8 × 56

=) x = 448

Hence,

There are total 448 pages in the Book.
