Answer:

The book is filled with friendship, love and a desire to keep moving on even after everything crashes in our world. As Hyde says, people will come and people will go from our lives but the desire to not let that stop you is what keeps you moving on. Till the end of the story it's not clear if Alaska's death was an accident or not. But her friends and most importantly Pudge accepts her death and they move on with their lives. Everything which comes together falls apart one day and all our fates are similar in that matter. But to keep pondering over it and to desire for it to not happen isn't the key for living happily in this world. To overcome that desire is the most important thing in our life. If we stop wishing for everything to not fall apart, we'll be truly and entirely happy and live our lives, not just existing, or breathing, or just surviving but truly living.

I, for one, truly loved the pranks they came up with.
