According to poem ozymandias the poet brings the vanity of human and glory and power. The attempt of mighty king to immortalize their names by building statutes in bound to fail, for they too, are subject to decay and ruin. Thus the poem compels us to think of the futility of vanity and pretentious. It makes us look modestly at ourselves impressing upon us the short lived nature of human pomp and glory.
