Hey here is your answer

your question is :-

after selling a sweater for Rs 600, Neha suffered a loss of 20%. Find the cost price of the sweater

your answer is :-

Let the cost price of sweater = x rs.

According to question :-

after selling a sweater for Rs 600, Neha suffered a loss of 20%

x × (100-20)/100 = 600 rs.

x × 80/100 = 600rs.

x = 600 × 10/8

x = 75 × 10 rs.

x = 750 rs.

So, the cost price of the sweater = rs. 750

hope this helps you

Solution:
--------------

let the cost price of the sweater be ' ₹ x '

selling price of sweater = ₹600

loss = 20%

Find the loss:
--------------------

loss = 20% of cost price

= 20% of x = ₹ 0.2x

Find the cost price:
----------------------------

cost price - loss = selling price

x - 0.2x = 600

0.8x = 600 => 8x ÷ 10 = 600

8x = 6000 => x = ₹750

Answer: cost price of sweater = ₹750
