Let the income of the man be Rs x.
Then, income spent = 80% of Rs. x
                                = Rs (80100×x) = Rs (80x100) = Rs (4x5)
Amount left after all the expenditure = Rs (x−4x5) = Rs (5x−4x5) = Rs (x5)
Amount given to the charity = 10% of Rs (x5)
                                       = Rs (10100×x5) = Rs (10x500)= Rs (x50)
Amount left after the charity = Rs (x5−x50)
                                                = Rs (10x−x50) = Rs (9x50)
Now, we have:
Rs (9x50) = Rs 46260
∴ x = Rs (46260×509) = Rs 257000
Hence, the income of the man is Rs 2,57,000

Through the question we came to know that 10 % is remained with him as Rs 46260.

If we will multiply 10 % with 8 we will get 80%

so , 80 %

= 46260 x 8

=Rs 370,080

There 100 % = 80 % + 10 % + 10%

=370,080 + 46260 + 46260

=Rs 462,600

so he was having Rupees 462,600 at first.
