After staining the onion peel

(i)Do you see large number of cells in the peel or only one? What is the general shape of these cell (rectangular, circular, triangular, polygonal etc)

(ii) What is the darkly stained body in each cell?

(iii)Can you see any vacuole in the cell cytoplasm?

(iv) Does the nucleus become more conspicuous after staining?

(v) What is the position of the cytoplasm in the cell?(central or peripheral)

(vi) What is the shape of the nucleus?(spherical, oval, irregular etc)
