The seed of these plants comes by the means of seed dispersal.

  • Plants produce fruits which are spread over different regions in order to spread their species this occurs by the means of seed dispersal.
  • Seed dispersal can be attended by the means of both biotic as well as abiotic means. abiotic dispersal means involving wind, and water whereas biotic dispersal means involving various animal agents like insects, birds, reptiles etc.
  • Seed dispersal is an adaptive mechanism of plants in order to participate in the movement of seeds away from the parent plants.
  • During the rainy season due to continuous rainfall, the soil remains moist for most of the time which provides a suitable time and environment for these dispersed seeds to germinate and grow into a new small plants along the roadside and in open fields.
