After white washing the wall,why the wall begin to shine after 2-3 days

Hola..!!

The Calcium Hydroxide is used for white washing the walls. When it is put on the wall, it reacts with Carbon dioxide. It forms a layer of Calcium Carbonate within 2-3 days. That's why it gives a shining effect on the wall.
