Usually I accept the reality. Choices either make our life or spoil our life. Thinking about choices will only bring pain and discouragement. The author thinks of his choice in his struggle but later he is happy and says choosing the grassy road has brought all the change in his life.
He advises to focus on future because thinking about a choice will not make our future.
