Oxidizing agent.

This is because, in the reaction,

2Ag + 2H₂SO₄ ⇒ Ag₂SO₄ + 2H₂O + SO

Ag's oxidation state changes from 0 to +2, i.e. loss of electrons, i.e. increase in oxidation number and hence gets oxidized.

Oxidizing agent oxidizes a substance while undergoing reduction.
