We have,

-8x=56

Now notice that -8 is in multiplication with x ,now it will go to the other side and would be divided whereas x would remain at its own place

x=56/-8

We should try that there is no negative sign in the denominator so

56/-8*-1/-1= -56/8

Here we are multiplying with the same number in the numerator as well as denominator to obtain negative sign in the numerator not denominator

Now we would divide it

x= -7

Now we have the value of x as -7
