after 4 years age of mother (3x+4)years

and age of daughter is (x+4) years

so,

3x+4+x+4=60

=> 4x=60-8

=> 4x=52

=> x=52/4

=> x=13

so present age of daughter is 13 years and present age of mother is 3×13years=39 years
