Suppose the sum of the ages of the children is x and age of father is y
So according to the given conditions
y = x
and 2(y+15) = (x+90)
=> 2(x + 15) = (x+90)
=> 2x + 30 = x + 90
=> x = 60
Fathers age is y = x = 60 yrs

Answer:

60 years.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the age of father be x years and sons' age be s¹, s², s³, s⁴, s⁵ & s⁶.

Given in the question :

  • Age of the father is equal to sum of ages of all 6 sons .

So,

\implies\tt{x=s_1+s_2+s_3+s_4+s_5+s_6}\\\\\\\implies\tt{x=s_n}

After 15 years ,

  • Father's age = (x + 15) years .

\mathfrak{According\; to \;the\; question:}

\implies\mathsf{(x+15)*2=15*6+s_n}\\\\\\\implies\mathsf{2x+30=90+s_n}\\\\\\\mathsf{After\; putting \;the \;value \;of\; s_n, \;we\; get;}\\\\\\\implies\tt{2x+30=x+90}\\\\\\\implies\tt{2x-x=90-30}\\\\\\\implies\tt{x=60.}\\\\\\\boxed{\boxed{\therefore\mathbf{The \;age\;of\;father=60\;years.}}}
