Age of John’s Father is 3 times John’s age. After 5 years, he will be twice the age
of John. Find their ages after four years?

Let Johns age be x years

So, his fathers age is 3x years

Johns age after 5 years = (x + 5) years

His fathers age after 5 years = (3x + 5) years

So, 2(x + 5) = 3x + 5

     2x + 10 = 3x + 5

     2x - 3x = -10 +5

     -x = -5

     x = 5

Johns present age = 5 years

Johns fathers age = 15 years

Johns age after 4 years = 9 years

His fathers age after 4 years = 19 years
