Age of madhu and neetu are in ratio 2:5. Seven years ago their ages were in ratio of 9:11. Find their present ages.

Let the age of Madhu= 2x

Let the age of Neetu = 5x

ATQ,

=$\displaystyle\frac {2x-7}{5x-7}=\displaystyle\frac {9}{11}$

= 11(2x-7) = 9(5x-7)

= 22x - 77 = 45x - 63

= +77 + 63 = 45x - 22x

= 104 = 23x

= 6 = x

Age of Madhu = 2x = 2× 6 = 12

Age of Neetu = 5x = 5 × 6= 30
