letter the age of Radhika be =x
so age of mother = x²
after 5 years
age of Radhika= x+5
age of mother =x²+5
thus in first case as mother is 3 times her age
x²+5=3(x+5)..........eq1
after this I think Ur question is something wrong...

Question:Age of Radhika’s mother is the square the age of radhika. Five years hence, mother will be three time her age. The differences of their ages will be

Ans:Let the age of radhika=r

Age of radhika's mother=rm

1. rm=r^2

2. 5 years hence is

5+rm=3(r+5)

Rm=3r+10

From 1

3r+10=r^2

On solving we get

r=-2,5

Therefore

r=5

rm=25

rm-r=25-5=20
