LET THE A'S AGE BE 4x

AND B'S AGE BE 3x

NOW, AFTER FIVE YEARS,

4x+5:3x+5=9:7

4x+5/3x+5=9/7

NOW,BY CROSS MULTIPLICATION, WE HAVE

7(4x+5)=9(3x+5)

28x+35=27x+45

x=10

Therefore,

A'S PRESENT AGE=4X=4×10=40

B'S PRESENT AGE=3X=3×10=30
