X+6=4(y+6)

X+6=4y+24

But it is given that age of Mahesh is equal to 7 times age of Reena

So

7y+6=4y+24

3y+6=24

3y=18

Y=6

Age of Mahesh is equal to 7 times the age of Reena

X=7*6

=42
