(1) let the age of venkat be x years
and age of Raju be y years
x = 2y ----(i)
x = y+3 ----(ii)

(y+3)=2y
y = 3
x = 6

Hence the age of venkat is 6 years and that is raju is 3 years.

(2) Let the age of A be 'a' years
and that is B is 'b' years
a = b+15

Ten years ago , the ages of A & B
were (a-10) & (b-10) years
(a-10) = 4×(b-10)
a-10 = 4b-40
a = 4b-30

b+15 = 4b-30
3b = 45
b = 15
a = 30

Hence the age of A is 30 years and that of B is 15 years
