After 5 years Roopa's age = 3x+5

After 5 years her sister's age =2x+5

3x+5/2x+5=4/3

=>3(3x+5)=4(2x+5)

=>9x+15 =8x +20

=>x= 5

Hence, present age of Roopa is 3×5=15 years

and present age of her sister is 2×5 = 10 years

⇒ (3x + 5)/(2x + 5) = 4/3

By cross multiplication

⇒ 3(3x + 5) = 4(2x + 5)

⇒ 9x + 15 = 8x + 20

⇒ 9x - 8x = 20 - 15

Age of Roopa = 3x = 3(5) = 15 years
