Question is :

Arrange the numbers 1 to 9 in a 3×3 square matrix that their sum vertically, horizontally and diagonally be 15.

Answer is :

  \left[\begin{array}{ccc}6&1&8\\7&5&3\\2&9&4\end{array}\right]

Horizontally,

6 + 1 + 8 = 15,
7 + 5 + 3 = 15
2 + 9 + 4 = 15

Vertically,

6 + 7 + 2 = 15
1 + 5 + 9 = 15
8 + 3 + 4 = 15

Diagonally,

6 + 5 + 4 = 15
8 + 5 + 2 = 15

I hope that it helps you.

hey matte..

here's ur answer..

In a 3×3grid,I had have to put numbers from 1 to 9 in a manner so that the respective row column and diagonal add upto 15.

I have only able to come up with one solution

6 1 8
7 5 3
2 9 4

Through some calcutions and trial and error method.

Is there any strategy or way of approach to this problem or is a trial and error method the solution to it?
hope it helps you✌✌
