* Low productivity...
Level of productivity per unit of land was very low...
* High vulnerability...
Farmers were dependent on rainfall for production not irrigation methods was there....
* A wedge between owners of soil and tiller of soil....
Owners of soil were exploitated to tillers by giving less income and high rents...
* Fragmented and small land holdings...
Farmers have small and divided land which get more input and less output...
So a backward and stagnant agricultural sector we had...

1. Thier was low productivity.
2. Vulnerability was also high.
3. Less income and Hugh rents were clearly observed in farmers.
