Answer:
This place is very easy to remember and very difficult to forget. The best place that I know during my whole life is my grandparent’s farm. When I was child, I lived very happy in my grandparent’s farm. It have very good opportunity to share good moments with my cousins playing for hours during the day. We ate delicious food, or the best food that I have eaten. Sometimes we helped adults in easy works because in hard activities my grandparents didn’t want children are involved. In this place I learned many things even values and manners because I had my grandparents as teachers. Therefore, in this place I lived my best years of my life. My grandparents’ farm was a very beautiful place where I lived my childhood full of history, memories and feelings.
This beautiful land has a very nice history. My great-grandfather was born in the Orozco Valle, Spain in 1867. When he was a child, he came to South America with his family. They had settled on the border between Peru-Ecuador. They buy and took position of the beautiful land with valleys and prairies. He grew up and married with my great-grandmother also daughter of a migrant family. They had eleven children, one of them was my grandmother. She was 18 years old when she married with my grandfather. My grandfather was son of an important landowner of that place who was descendant from the Peruvian ancient. My great-grandfather died in 1987 at his 120 years old. His farm was divided in eleven parts. In the part of land that my grandmother inherited was where I was born and grew up until I was 14 years old. When my great-grandfather died, I was 16 years old, so he could tell me many interesting stories about his life. For example, he had one of his worst days when he was young. He didn’t remember exactly his age, but he was an approximate 14 years old. He was working on his father’s big fields of crops far from his home. He told me that he was alone this day and he forgot to check the time looking at the sun because he didn’t have his watch. . The night was coming and it was very dangerous to walk back home at night. He decided to sleep in the up level of the hut between corncobs. Suddenly, he saw a lion coming slowly. After, the lion sat down next to the old hut. The hut was made out of poles. My great-grandfather saw the lion smelling at his direction. The lion stood up and took the position to jump to catch him. My great-grandfather was alone, without any help, so he thought “It was the end of my life. I will be eaten alive by a lion in my own farm”. He was trying to hide into a pile of corncobs, suddenly an old pole broke and a big pile of corncobs fell down. The lion was frighten at the noise and decided to leave running. My great-grandfather was able to escape and told me his story. In addition, I remember many interesting stories from him.The best moments are those people never forget. I have my best memories from my grandparents’ farm. I remember 40 cows giving milk. Also, I remember everyday their workers woke up very early in the morning to milk the cows. They took long time in this activity from 4:00 am to 10:00 am. It was very interesting the rest of the day during the cheese making by hand. I remember big containers of milk and fire women working there. There was cheese everywhere, many sizes and different textures. We the children could eat all the cheese we wanted. My grandparents fed us three times a day, but lunch time was very fun because the adults were working and the children had lunch alone. We played, joked and laughed all the time. We were 10 children brothers and cousins. There were moments that I would like to repeat. Beautiful moments that all children would like to have in their life. I miss my grandparents’ farm.
I have many feelings when I remember my grandparents’ farm. I had a happy life when I was child and I experienced some unforgettable moments. I did things that only I enjoyed a lot. My grandmother taught me how to make sheep’s wool threads. Also, she taught me how to weave the same as she was taught from her ancestors. My grandfather died and my grandmother was left alone with five children. My father and his young brothers. Then, my two younger uncles died leaving only three, my father, mi uncle and my aunt. I feel nostalgic even when I remember the weather. This village has a different climate along its extension, predominates the temperate sub — humid. It presents precipitations mainly in the months of January to March, the temperature during the day can reach until the 29º to 30ºC, and during the night can descend until the 13ºC. We had fruit trees all the time. The good think is that we the children, now adults have very good relationship each other
