Ahmed is five times as old as his baby sister In nine years Ahmed will be twice as old as his sister. What are their ages now? ​

Let the age of his baby sister=x

Ahmed age=5x

After nine years their age will be:-

baby sister=x+9

Ahmed age=5x+9

So now after 9 years ahmed is twice has her baby sister

So if we double baby sister age after 9 years ,then the linear equation will be equal

2(x+9)=5x+9

2x+18=5x+9

2x-5x=9-18

-3x=-9

x=9/3

x=3

So the value of x is 3

So age of baby sister=x=3 years

Age of Ahmed=5x=5×3

==>15 years

Hence the age of ahmed's baby sister is 3 years and the present age of Ahmed is 15 years
