Question : Someone told me to keep the book. ( Change the voice ).

Answer :  I was told to keep the book by someone.

Explanation : While changing the active voice to passive, Remember that the verb takes an object.

Change the object into subject.

Change the verb into past participle of the verb.

For example,

I write a letter.

Passive voice => A letter is written by me.

Similarly, In your question,

\bf{Active} :- Someone told me to keep the book.

\bf{Passive}:- I was told by someone to keep the book.

Or

I was told to keep the book by someone.

Or

I was told to keep the book.

______________________________

In this case, you can omit 'by someone' .

\bf{Remember}

✔ The doer of the active voice becomes the object of the passive voice.

✔ The object of the active voice changes into doer of passive voice.

\bf{For\:example} :- Someone told me to keep the books. Here "Someone" is doer, but when we are changing it into passive voice, it is the object and the same applies vice-versa.

✔ Verb is always in its 3rd form.

✔ Sentence are changed such that the tense doesn't change.
