<i><u>Answer

<b>Viruses considered a unique organism because They have the characteristics of both living as well as non living organisms. They are non-Living organism like say, salt and sugar. In fact they can be crystallised and stored in jar for million of years. However when they come in a contact of plant, animal, or bacteria. They show the characteristics of living organisms. That's why Viruses are unique and they considered as a borderline between living and non - living organisms!

Viruses are considered as an uniques organism because they shows the characteristics of both living and non-living organisms.

When they are inside the host cell then they reproduce and divide , so called living.

And when they are outside the host cell they do not shows such characteristics , so called non-living .

A virus is made up of DNA or RNA and surrounded by capsid made up of proteins.
