➡️Ionic compounds:

an ionic compound is a chemical compound composed of ions held together by electrostatic forces termed ionic bonding. The compound is neutral overall, but consists of positively charged ions called cations and negatively charged ions called anions.

➡️Molecular Compounds:

A molecular compound is usually composed of two or more nonmetal elements.
Molecular compounds are named with the first element first and then the second element by using the stem of the element name plus the suffix -ide. Numerical prefixes are used to specify the number of atoms in a molecule.

There are three types of compounds:-
1.Metallic compounds=>The compounds which are formed by combination of metal with another metal.
2.Ionic compounds=>The compounds which are formed by the combination of metal with non metal.
3.Covalent compounds=>The compounds which are formed by the combination of a metal with polyatomic ions or a non metal with
a polyatomic ions.
