Hello Mahik Ji.

Here is your answer,

                                       RELATIVE VELOCITY

Relative means a small comparsion assume a fixed point relative to which the given body is in motion.

For a common frame of reference if Va and Vb are two velocities of bodies A and B with respect to F then the velocity of A relative to B is AB then VAb = Va - Vb

Now, There are 3 cases

Case 1:- The bodies are in same line or in same direction then Vab = Va - Vb

Case 2:- If two bodies moves in opposite direction are move towards each other.

             Vab = Va - Vb

∴ Vab = Va - Vb

Case 3:- If they are moving in angle
θ

         Vab =
Va² + Vb² - 2VaVbcosθ

Tan
θ = Vbsinθ

       = Va - vb cos
θ

If
θ = 90 then Vb = Va² + Vb²

   Tan
θ = Vb/Va

Hope it helps you !

locomaniac: oh thank you! the third case wasn't there in my book.
Anonymous: Your welcome :) Oh i see as pee the CBSE pattern i have given you the brief explanation.
