The AIDS stands for Acquired Immuno-deficiency syndrome which is caused by Retro virus known as HIV(Human Immuno-deficiency virus). They weakens the immune system and nervous system. They damage the brain cells and can cause life threatening infections.

⚠️ Generally, Blood and Semen are the main sources of infections. Hence, we should not use articles and items being used by the AIDS patients.

The AIDS patient shows symptoms like Diarrhoea, fatigue, loss of body weight, fever, excess sweating etc. Finally, the blood vessels and lymph nodes also swells up and Platelets count decreases.

♦️For prevention and control of AIDS, unprotected sexual intercourse should be stopped. Avoid using shaving razors and toothbrushes of HIV patients. Avoiding common syringes and needles. Infected women should avoid pregnancy because it will harm her child also. AIDS patients should not donate blood, organs, sperm or other tissues. These items should be checked before transfusion.

  • Generally, transmitted through unprotected sexual activities. It can spread during unprotected sexual intercourse.
  • AIDS can transmitted through blood transfusion. If a person with AIDS donated blood to a healthy person, the person might get AIDS.
  • It also transmitted through contaminated needles and syringes. So, It's important to use sterlized needles and syringes.
  • HIV can pass through a Infected mother to her foetus through placenta. Also, it can transmitted during breast feeding to a child.
