(AIIMS 2016) A bus starts from rest and moves with
constant acceleration 8 m/s. At the same time, a car
travelling with a constant velocity 16 m/s overtakes and

Answer: 4s and 64m

Explanation:

DISTANCE COVERED BY CAR WILL BE EQUAL TO THE DISTANCE COVERED BY BUS.

1/2 × 8 ×t² = 16t

t = 4s

Distance at which the car overtakes = 16×4 = 64m.
