In April 2006, Nepal experience an extraordinary popular movement the aim and objective of the movement was to restore democracy in Nepal. People were involved the fight to gain control of the government from the king. The king was the one who was heading the state but the real powers was exercised by the elected representatives.

This revolution was made feasible by the move of political parties forming alliances and Nepalis took to streets.

Movement for democracy in Nepal was aimed at restoring  democracy.


It won democracy in 1990.


Bolivia’s water war started  because the price of water was increased four times its original rate.


The people did a four day general strike and the government  agreed to negotiate but nothing happened.


Another strike was held  which led to the cancellation of the contract and water supply was  restored to the municipality at old rates.
