Aim: to show that light travels in a straight line.
Material required: candle, matchstick, and rubber tube
Method:
1)fix a lighted candle on a table
2) take a rubber tube, stretch it straight and look through it at the flame of the candle with one eye.
3) next bend the tube and see the flame of the candle and observe
Observations: we will observe that when the rubber tube is straight we can see the light coming from the flame but when seen through band tube we cannot see the light coming from the flame.
Inference: this shows that the light travels in a straight line.
