Aim: To measure the diameter of a sphere
Materials required: A small plastic ball, two matchboxes and a ruler
Procedure: Place the ball on a table. Place one matchbox vertically
on either side of the ball such that the matchboxes touch the ball.
Without disturbing the matchboxes, put a mark on the ruler/table
along the inner faces of each matchbox. Remove the ball and the
matchboxes. Measure the length between the two marks.
Conclusion: This distance is the diameter of the ball (sphere).
