Aim: To study the conditions (air) required for burning.
Material required: candle, glass chimney, wooden blocks, glass plate, match box. Procedure:
1) Fix a lighted candle on a table. Put a glass chimney over the candle and keep it on a few wooden blocks in such a way that air can enter the chimney.
2) Now remove the blocks and let the glass chimney rest on the table.
3) Finally put a glass plate over the glass chimney.
What happens to the flame when:
1) Glass chimney is kept on wooden blocks.
2) Wooden blocks are removed and glass chimney rests on the table.
3) Glass plate is kept on the chimney.
Write your observations and conclusions with reasons.

Answer:
Calculating acceleration involves dividing velocity by time — or in terms of SI units, dividing the meter per second [m/s] by the second [s]. Dividing distance by time twice is the same as dividing distance by the square of time. Thus the SI unit of acceleration is the meter per second squared .

Answer:
Acceleration, rate at which velocity changes with time, in terms of both speed and direction. A point or an object moving in a straight line is accelerated if it speeds up or slows down. Motion on a circle is accelerated even if the speed is constant, because the direction is continually changing
