Aim: To study the effect of temperature on the elasticity of a rubber band.

Material used: a rubber band is to be taken. A source which is able to generate a force is taken. A vernier caliper is taken to calculate the increase in length with increase in the force.

Procedure: there has to be changed in the load and the weight of the load is slightly increased. We will calculate first the initial length of the rubber band. The change in the length of the rubber band is noted. Based on this criteria the the stress strain the modulus of elasticity is to be checked. we have to plot the relation of temperature with the elasticity to obtain a value

Conclusion: with increase in the temperature there is decrease in the elasticity of the rubber band.
