AIM: To understand the occurrence of Head or Tail on a coin
and to get a feel of probability of an outcome.

MATERIALS REQUIRED: A coin, a paper and a pen

OBSERVATION:
NUMBER OF TIMES HEADS OCCURRED :
NUMBER OF TIMES TAILS OCCURRED:
TOTAL NUMBER OF TRIALS: 30

CONCLUSION: The probability of getting a head when a coin
is tossed 30 times is _____ and the probability of getting a tail
when a coin is tossed 30 times is ____________

Answer:

when a coin is tossed probability of getting head is 1/2

probability of getting tail=1-P(getting head)

then n(s)=2^30. for getting head

n(E)=30

probability of head P(E)=n(E)/n(s)=30/2^30

then p(getting tail for 30 times)=1-30/2^30

=2^30-30/2^30
