Aims and objectives for bad effect of various festival on the environment

Many festivals like diwali, holi, etc. have bad effects on our environment. Diwali makes the air polluted as we burn crackers, holi is the utter wastage of water. Moreover, we Indians do visarjan (immersion) of the idols of gods and goddesses in rivers. We also play music on loudspeakers on festivals. This way, air, water, noise and land, all are polluted and the environmental objectives made by the government are proving to be of no use.
