Chipku movement is main movement in india ,it has many aim and objectives .


Chipku movement or andolan was started to save tree or conservation of forest.

This movement was started in the northern himalayan segment of Uttarpradesh, the area is commonly known as Uttarakhand . As it is clear by name chipko , this refers" to stick" or "to hug " trees.

The main objective of chipko movement is to conserve trees. Chipko movement made a remarkable growth The slogan of chipko is "ecology is permanent economy".

Dhoom singh negi and many other village peoples save trees by chipko with the trees. The main objective of this movement is this
the survival of tribal people whose economic activities revolved around this forests.
