Well according to NCERT

INC → It is a popularly known as the Congress party and known as one of the oldest Party of the world which was founded in 1885. They are also known as Centrist party and there aim is to support secularism and welfare of weaker section and minorities.

But this is according to ncert which was written during Congress era so...

and also actually they are leftist not centralist .
