Air is filled in a motor tube at 27°C and at a pressure of 8 atmospheres. The tube suddenly burst. then temperature of air is Cp/Cv for air =1.5​

After burst the pressure becomes equal to atmospheric pressure

i.e. P2 = 1 atm.

∴ (T2 / T1) = (P2 / P1)[(γ–1)/γ]

[T2 / (273 + 27)] = (1/8)[(1.5–1) / 1.5]

[T2 / (300)] = (1/8)1/3

T2 = 300 × (1/2) = 150K
