HELLO THERE!

Metals like Sodium and potassium are kept in kerosene because:

=> They are very reactive metals.

=> They are oxidized in a short while when they are kept in contact with air.

=> They may catch fire if kept in open air.

Kerosene is a liquid which cuts off their contact with air and does not let them catch fire or get oxidized, thus saving them.

THANKS!
